Is weighing yourself healthy? How do you feel when you weigh yourself? Let’s look at a healthy way to lose weight and your bathroom scales.

You get up in the morning. You go to the washroom. You pop onto the scale. This could make or break your day. When you see the number on the scale does it change about how you feel about yourself? Let’s talk about how you can approach the situation of the almighty scale.

The first scenario: You weigh yourself and your weight goes up. You have been exercising faithfully. You have been watching what you have been eating. How can this be? I don’t understand. What’s the use? You try your hardest to no avail. You might as well eat what you want to. This turns into a day or two, or more of frenzy eating. You are saying all the wrong things to and going downhill fast. Life isn’t so great! I ask you, does this seem like a healthy way to lose weight?

The second scenario: You weigh yourself and your have lost weight! Yeah! You have been doing your best with diet and exercise and it shows on the scales. You continue to do as you have been doing. You are following the process. You eat and exercise as you have been doing. You are going to have a wonderful day. Life is good!

The third scenario: You weigh yourself. Your weight goes up. You have been doing everything to the best of your ability. You’re eating and your exercise is going great. So you have gone up a little in your weight. . You look at what you are doing and you vow to even make it better. You are going to continue with your program. You have faith in the process. Your day will be good, in fact, it will be great. Your mindset is in the right place. Life is good!

The fourth scenario: You weigh yourself and your weight goes down. Yeah! It’s time to celebrate. You have been working so hard at this weight loss process. You deserve a break. You go and eat everything you want. This goes on for a day or two, or more. Life is good right now, but all that hard work going quickly down the drain! This is certainly not a healthy way to lose weight and keep it off.

Look at the four scenarios. Which one of the scenerios is your day when you weight yourself? It is important to have a pulse on what you are doing to lose weight. If the scale trips you off. Stay off of it!
